Dr. Zack Bein

Psychologist, Founder of The Adult Attachment Program, Speaker, Author

Dr. Zack Bein is a psychologist, a professor, a certified meditation instructor, group therapist, one-on-one therapist, couples & family therapist, and the Founder of the Adult Attachment Program. He did his training at Tarzana Treatment Center, where he designed an 8-Week Mindfulness Treatment for veterans with substance use disorders and co-occurring PTSD. After graduating, he was trained by Dr Dan Brown in the Ideal Parent Figure (IPF) method for several years and currently works closely with Dr David Elliott, the co-author to the seminal attachment text, "Healing Attachment Disturbances in Adults (Brown & Elliott, 2016). He relies heavily on Brown & Elliot’s “Three Pillar” model of repairing attachment difficulties which includes the Ideal Parent Figure method. He has completed Level I Training in Integrative Attachment Therapy (IAT), and plans to be a trainer in the model. Dr. Zack has done thousands of hours of attachment repair with patients and clients from all over the world. His clinical group, The Adult Attachment Program, has become a state-of-the-art institute that uses the latest empirical research to inform and guide treatment, with impressive results. Dr Zack also has particular expertise in the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI), publishing a chapter establishing a standard of care for implementing the AAI into 3 Pillar work.
